I've been working with this for a few months and it's been pretty solid. The notifications work well if you configure properly.
TechCurious: Totally agree — I had the exact problem and got it working by updating the driver. Took me a while to locate that configuration option.

What I did — I have a triple-redundant mesh for redundancy. Works like a charm.
